2018 so far…

Just Checking In

I hope everyone is having a good start to the year. It’s crazy to think that we’re already halfway through March! We’re closing in on 25% of the year being done. Hopefully you guys have kept your new years resolutions going. I have – kind of. I had two major resolutions for this year in my personal life.

  1. Make my bed in the morning
  2. Keep the sink clear of dishes

I have been pretty consistent with #1 but #2 still eludes me here and there.

In terms of training

Training has been going well. I have found my groove and the consistency is definitely there. There are still some days where I don’t really feel like training but I get it done anyway – most of the time. I have progressed a good amount with my animal flow/movement work as well so I am very happy with that

In terms of business

Being self-employed definitely has it’s ups/downs. Some weeks are very busy while others are not so busy. This can cause a bit of inconsistency in my income. At the end of the day, it’s really just about keeping the pipeline full. This is definitely one of the biggest challenges I’ve got going on right now.

On the other side of things, my time at Myodetox Performance has been very fruitful. I continue to gain lots of experience there and I am continuously learning from those around me. It is an excellent experience and the team is a joy to work with. I wouldn’t have it any other way

In terms of life

Life is pretty good for the most part. I am very grateful for the people around me and my situation. I have a big CPPS certification going on in 2 weeks and I’m super excited. I also have a lot of work to do before that weekend. It is a 2-day course with Joe Defranco and Jim Smith. I will definitely write a recap on that after I complete it.

Ultimately…

I am just working on mastering my craft. Getting better at movement, continuing to learn and put in hours in the gym for my own training, honing my craft in terms of coaching, and learning how to improve my sales game. On a daily level, I aim to practice patience and to be kind. I also aim to be a good son, brother, boyfriend, friend, coach and person every day. Some days are harder than others 🙂
